PERFECT STRATEGY TO SCORE 300+ MARKS IN NEET BIOLOGY

300+ marks in Biology are essential to secure a good rank in NEET UG 2020. A score of 300+ marks our of 360 marks is not an easy task but also this is not very much difficult because for this you have to correct 75 questions out of 90 questions in the Biology section.

Three most important things to score good marks in NEET Biology

1. MASTER NCERT BOOKS

  • NCERT books of class 11th and 12th are the most important study material to be followed for the NEET exam because according to previous year trends 80-85 questions in the NEET exam are directly based on the theory part of the NCERT books.
  • A multiple revision of NCERT Books of class 11th and 12th is essential in order to perfect the theory part of the NCERT.
  • Highlight the important points and examples of NCERT books for quick revision before your mock tests and the main NEET exam.
  • Practice the exercise questions of NCERT given after each chapter in order to perfect the concepts from the theory part.
  • Solve the NCERT Exemplar problems especially the objective ones because Exemplars contain additional information than NCERT books.

2. Practice NCERT Based objectives

  • Question practice also plays a very important role in order to score good marks in the NEET exam. You should practice at least 100 quality questions per chapter. Quality questions mean there is the least repetition of questions based on the same concept and the questions should be up to the level of the NEET exam, not too easy or not too difficult.
  • Practice questions in an exam like environment with fix time limit like 30 seconds per questions are enough in Biology because you have to save time for difficult calculations in Physics and Chemistry.
  • Practice makes you perfect so if you practice questions at home with full honesty with thee the right methodology as we discussed above then this habit will increase your speed and accuracy.
  • Read the question with full concentration, never jump to the options section without completion of the question because you may mark incorrect option in hurry and this will result in a loss of five marks. In NEET like competitive examination, even a single mark count because your competition is with 15 lakh NEET Aspirants and your single mistake can take you away from your dream Medical College.

3. Solve previous year papers

  • You should solve previous year papers of NEET at least 10 years because by doing so you’ll figure out the difficulty levels of the question in the NEET exam.
  • Write the extra information from the questions which are out of NCERT in your NCERT book for multiple time revision because some out of NCERT questions may repeat in the NEET exam.
  • You can also learn the answers to standard questions which repeat frequently in the NEET exam but be aware of the framing of questions, for this you should read the question with full concentration and this habit will develop only from practice.

Don’t focus on the weightage of chapters because all the chapters even every line and every example given in NCERT is important and for the target of 300+ marks, you have to master the NCERT books of class 11th and 12h. Don’t waste your time in reading extra theory from reference books, utilize this time in more and more question practice.

SUCCESS IS NO ACCIDENT. IT IS HARD WORK, PERSEVERANCE, LEARNING, STUDYING, SACRIFICE AND MOST OF ALL, LOVE OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING OR LEARNING TO DO.
